Poets for Peace

The idea for Poets for Peace arose from the presentation by Ihor Pavlyuk, the Peoples Poet of Ukraine, at our June Convention. For those of you that missed it, we will soon have it posted on our website. At that time there was an outpouring of support by a large number of NFSPS members to help in some way. How that will be accomplished is what we are working on now.
Three areas of support are currently under discussion:
1) Help for the orphans of Ukraine
2) An Anthology of Peace Poems
3) A poetry for peace event (s)
As poets, I think we are working to make a better world. I have to admit that as one of the first Peace Corps Volunteers in 1964, working for peace and a better world for everyone has been a lifelong personal goal. I hope you will join me.
